Summer Term 20th April 2020
Good morning everyone and welcome to the Summer term. I do hope that you all had a fabulous Easter.
Here you will find some Maths and English activities which will help you with your child’s learning at home this week.
I hope that you will enjoy working through them. For Little Otters in EYFS I have attached two packs which you might prefer to dip into.
Maths: This week you are working on numbers to 50. You are all able to count in 10s and 5s. This week we are practising counting in 2s as well.
English: Your learning this week is about developing your sentences. In school have been practising saying our sentences first and then writing them down which helps us to remember to put a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end. This week we will be doing more of that and using the word ‘and’ to join two sentences together.
This week Little Otters in maths you are practising counting, one more and one less, sequencing pictures and continuing patterns. The daily lessons on The Oak National Academy also look at counting one more and one less.
At the end of the pack you will finds words to help you carry out the activities and the tricky words I would like your child to be able to read. They should be able to read and spell all of the Phase 2 tricky words and be beginning to read and perhaps spell some of the Phase 3 words.
