Good morning Otters,

I hope that you have had a really good half term and enjoyed the garden and the sunshine.

Year 1

Maths This week your learning will be about measuring, covering mass and capacity. There are also some problem solving questions involving weight and mass

English This week you will be learning about writing labels, exclamation marks, suffixes and a little about adverbs.

RE This half term we will be starting to learn about the Islamic faith. I would like you to watch the Powerpoint and then using the template can you colour in the Mosque. Look carefully at the colours of the different parts of the Mosque in the Powerpoint and match them as carefully as you can.

EYFS

Maths In maths this week we are learning about ordering numbers to 20, 2D and 3D shapes.

English We are practising more of our Phase 3 graphemes, tricky words along with reading and writing captions.

RE We are going to continue our learning about special places, this week looking at Churches. When you have looked at the pictures perhaps have a walk or drive and look at some local churches and their stained-glass windows. There is a template for a stained glass window which I would like you to colour. You can either colour the first one or draw a picture on the second one of something which is special to you and then colour it carefully.
